Your new limerick challenge is as follows:
TROUBLE
Your challenge last week was to write a limerick using the word GHOST in it somewhere. Here are your masterpieces:
Ghosts never scare you – so you say.
Have you e’er seen a ghost, anyway?
Only tell me it’s true
Say you’ve seen one or two
Then you’ll hear what I saw yesterday!
Once there was a malevolent ghost
He made for a horrible host
When guests would arrive
He’d play “Stayin’ Alive”
Until they fled in horror from his post!
When it was my time to become a ghost
I had an interview with the Holy Host
‘You’ve not been good.’
‘I’ve been misunderstood.’
‘Whatevs. Where you’re going your toast.’
Bony Tony had many a fall.
In his latter days, he could hardly crawl.
But then he died
And we all cried,
And Bony’s a ghost can walk through walls!
On the day I was to be host
At the door, appeared a big ghost
He said with a sneer
What have we got here
The ghost has been made into roast.
Patrick Swayze in Ghost made me swoon
Sadly taken from us far too soon
Now a shining star
Looking down from afar
Do you think he’s dancing on the moon?
Linking People 2003:
Halloween celebrated to dispel the real ghost,
Children dress up in frightening masks and costumes for host,
Though, ghosts are simply memories of dead person,
Over the time forgotten and the ghost doesn’t appear before the person,
Sometimes, frightened people have to pay heavy cost!
