I thought it was about time that I started another ‘Funny of the Week‘ series. As always, being a writer, it’s centred around words and this series is all about double entendres. Enjoy!

Great!! I’ve seen a few good ones too. I saw on a door in what used to be the Howard Johnson hotel in Sandwell a notice saying ‘This room is not to be used for any purpose’, and more recently a sign in my local Lidl offering ‘Celery storks’.
Wonder if they’ve got double doors, so the very large remaining diner can leave…
Also – looks like it’s a self service place since there are no waiters allowed…
The sign by the lift in my apartment block reads like this:
Please do NOT bash the
sides of the lift. This
causes the lift to
break down leaves
TENANTS STRANDED
Beautiful grammatificationalisation and formatification…
On reflection, even punctuated this one is still ambiguous! Oh dear… I think I’ll eat elsewhere.
