My daughter seems to have a knack for coming up with great words for my weekly writing challenge and for stimulating your creativity. She’s come up with another five for you:
- maraca
- flabbergasted
- ventriloquist
- pensive
- Obama
So, you can add another five words to make this into a ten-word story challenge. Off you go!
Last week’s words were:
- fedora
- patagonia
- pink
- melancholy
- pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis (apparently the longest word in the dictionary and it means a lung disease caused by inhalation of very fine silica or quartz dust!)
Here are the hilarious results:
Francesca Anibali was up first:
Patagonia was melancholy. Alice got a pink fedora and pneumoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
Judith Westerfield had this to say about the challenge. Please take a look:

Pollyesther couldn’t resist the challenge:
A pink fedora melancholy, remembering combatting my pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in Patagonia.
Jane Basil loved this as all her entries show:
Melancholy in Pategonia

Sandra Conner turned hers into a news story, complete with headline:

Sacha Black‘s story was very witty:
“Melancholy?” Fedora asked. “Much worse dear. Patagonia has pink pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.”
