        I know that during baroque times wigs were crazy, particularly at court. But … I also know because of awarness/lack of hygiene – some had mouse or even rats’ nests in them. Besides anything else, they would have toppled the whole construction if they moved, wouldn’t they?

        Same. But I wouldn’t have been nobility anyway, I’d be working somewhere, no chance of getting married to a decent man because of a dud leg. So… I’m quite happy with the 20th+21st century.
