The Perfect Christmas Gift?

I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe we’re hurtling towards December and Christmas. I’ve started my Christmas shopping (well, buying one present counts), but I have a long way to go. I do have a list though and some ideas so I’m halfway there. How about you?

I’ve just had another delivery of my children’s book and some more stickers, so if any of you are buying a Christmas gift for children in the 5-7 year age group, you’re welcome to buy a signed copy of the book from me direct, dedicated to the relevant little one, and I’m happy to include some stickers too. This applies to the UK and overseas. Just email me: estherchilton@gmail.com

Or you can buy direct through Amazon and all bookshops:

  2. Time passes so quickly these days that I dare not leave anything till the last minute, in case the last minute has passed by the time I get around to it.

It isn’t just a retirement thing. I remember one year – decades ago – I was so busy getting the four children’s presents (and my sister’s three, and Mum, and the dogs and Uncle Tom Cobley and all…) I realised on Christmas Eve that I hadn’t anything for my husband!! In those days, the only place open by then was the local ‘7/11’ store, so I shot up there, but the only thing that seemed even vaguely relevant was a bottle of whisky.

The problem was, hubby worked in hospitality. 😦

    1. Oh no! I guess that was a lesson learned not to leave everything to the last minute. I agree, it’s always best to get it done earlier otherwise it’s here before you know it.

  10. Even though we had a Thanksgiving Lunch at work yesterday, I am not ready for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I have to many things to do in the interim.
