Book Review – Does Love Die With You?

I follow Mia Winherrt’s blog and when I saw she’d written her first book, I was intrigued to check it out. ‘Does Love Die With You?’ is a contemporary romance, which thinks outside the box. Here is the blurb:

But then, when was love ever easy?

Aaron Philip has been in love with his best friend, Diya Awasthi for seven long years. Finally, he gathers the courage to confess to her, come what may. But God had other plans and on his way to Diya, he meets with a fatal accident. With steely determination and ardent love, he challenges the limits of existence, while Diya fights her own battles within and outside her. The coming back of her old admirer, Abhishek Dixit further complicates matters for Aaron. Would he accept his fate or redefine the idea of love?

People may die but does that also mean the end of their love? That is the question Mia Winhertt explores through this novel about loss. Ironically enough, all the answers point in the direction of how to truly live. This book unravels those gems wrapped in a story with a heartbeat of its own.

My review

I found myself intrigued by the thought of love transcending life and I really enjoyed the way Mia handles this subject. Her lead characters are engaging and you can’t help but root for them, willing there to be a positive outcome. It’s a story that reminds us not to wait but to tell others how we truly feel. A poignant read.
