In my latest series, I’m taking you on a tour of my desk buddies, who watch over me as I work, or who help me in some way. This week, it’s the turn of my gorgeous ghosts. I love the city of York and when I visited, I just had to visit the famous York Ghost Merchants. It’s a delightful little shop and I purchased these two handmade ghosts. They sit on one of my shelves, making sure I get my work done.

Janice Johnson sent in Basil, the Boy. Her sister made her this teddy bear in memory of Basil, her little dog who kept her company whilst she sat at her desk, particularly in his later years. He’d lie, wedged against the radiator behind her, snoring. Janice’s sister also made the pencil holder. A very talented woman.
