Can You Tell A Story In…

Last week’s challenge was a tough one, but I loved reading your responses. Here’s a new story challenge:

Can you tell a story in 19 words? You must use the following words somewhere in the story:

  • FRAUD
  • LAUNDRY
  • NECK

Last week’s prompt was to tell a story in 41 words using the following six words in it somewhere:

  • TRIANGLE
  • DRESS
  • MEMBERSHIP
  • ANGRY
  • CUDDLY
  • OVEN

Here are your amazing stories:

Ruth Scribbles:

The triangle dress was required for membership. This made the angry yet cuddly child most uncomfortable. They decided that membership was overrated, so the dress was burned in the oven. When the fire was doused, the child had become unrecognizable.

Kim Smyth:

She opened the oven and pulled out the cuddly looking gingerbread men. They were required for membership this month, but she had been angry about that decision. Now she donned the triangle shaped dress -so dumb-and left for the meeting.

Christine Mallaband-Brown:

“A triangle shaped dress?” she said. How am I going to bake a cake like that? She put the oven on. Her daughter held her cuddly toy. I can win membership of ‘brilliant cooks’ but she got angry because of the cost.

Sharron P:

The triangle-shaped alien was wearing a dress made out of cuddly toys.

It turned the oven on.

“Pizza? Again?” the other alien said.

“Don’t be angry. The humans rejected my membership of cookery club. I can only cook pizza. It’s pepperoni!”
