Happy New Week! I hope it’s a good one for you.
Your new limerick challenge is:
TOAD
Your challenge last week was to write a limerick using the word PAST in it somewhere. You produced some hilarious limericks:
A man who once thought himself clever
In the throws of romantic endeavour
By his lover was asked
“Why at first can’t you last
yet the next time it takes you forever?”
Past days, were always a fright
But now look, our futures bright
On the lottery I won-e
A big prize of money
Good days are coming, that’s right!
The man liked living in the past
His wife didn’t think it would last
She made him to see
The future like she
Now he’s coming around at last!
Bill’s glasses were tinted rose
His future’s black, but the past glows
His “now” is then
He lives it again
Before yesterday is all he knows.
–
Ann lives life fast
What is past has passed
She’ll look ahead
Until she’s dead
Towards the future her lot is cast.
–
Ann and Bill tried to date
But it was an awful fate
She lived life fast
He in the past
When would they ever meet to mate?
These days life moves on so fast
Whether you’re bored or having a blast;
Always have a care
Tomorrow will there
Stay in the now and not in the past.
The past made me what I am now;
The blood, tears and sweat of my brow.
I struggled each day,
But I made it okay,
And for that, I shall now take a bow.
To live in the past is inviting,
When music was oh so exciting.
To dance rock and roll
To the depths of my soul.
Good memories to always delight in.
