Happy Thursday! Here’s your new story challenge:
Can you tell a story in 40 words? You must use the following words somewhere in the story:
- MURDER
- CASSETTE
- TEAR
- RICE
Last week’s prompt was to tell a story in 25 words using the following three words in it somewhere:
- SPADE
- OPERA
- HORSE
Here are you entertaining stories:
He stuck the spade in the ground carefully. A new opera house was due to be built…. Oh no, the sign said “New Opera HORSE”!
“Your pony’s hooves look like spades!”
“He’s a rare breed: Aussie Singing Digger.”
“Can he sing?”
“Yes.”
“Wow! What’s he called?”
“Sidney the Opera Horse.”
He knew a spade from a spade and told her to get off her high horse and join him at the opera! She said, “No!”
On the way to the opera in the horse drawn carriage, the horse spit the spade bit from his mouth, resulting in a run away.
After the performance, she took her spade to the Opera House and started digging. She decided it would take a horse to move the body.
A spade is a spade.
I can’t dress up the fact that I would rather go to the horse races than to the Opera.
Linking People 2003:
In an astonishing twist, a spade-wielding horse named Greenburgh sang opera, mesmerising the crowds with its deep voice and unique talent, becoming an overnight legend!
