Here’s your Monday smile – it’s limerick time. Send in your own or here’s a prompt for you –
FAME
Here are a few limericks to make you smile this Monday. The prompt last week was SANTA.
Santa’ll be here soon enough
Along with a sleigh-full of stuff.
Naughty or nice,
Tiers will suffice.
And who said this year should be rough?
Santa fed the reindeer team
Gave them water from the stream
Bran mash and carrots too
Lots of apples and a few
Mincepies for Rudolph so keen.
Ritu:
You need to lose weight, dear Santa
All I’m hearing is you pant-a
As you rush around
Chimneys, up and down
Just kidding, it’s just a bit of bant-a!
Good thing, Rudolph, my friend
Because I could start on you and your end
Not the red one, that’s fine
It’s your expanded behind
Are you following the Kardashian trend?
As parents we parrot the mantra
‘Be good or you’ll miss out on Santa’.
But they know we’ll regret
Making good on our threat
By morphing from angel to gangster.
Paul Mastaglio:
You’ve got to be bold
Or so I’ve been told
To offer a Fanta
To dear old Santa
But I fear it’ll be too darn cold.
Ajay Simon Richard:
Santa comes with Christmas,
Bringing to all, charismas.
Corona forced social distancing,
Cannot do group dancing.
Instead, at home can watch cinemas.
Dear Santa, hope you’ll be a sport
You’ve a generous soul…I read the report
Just one wish—might you bring lush hair?
Fast-thinning patches cause much despair
Blue-rinsed old-lady wig…surely last resort!
Sharon Tingle:
Says my baby girl:
“Will Santa bring me a black pearl?”
A pearl! Whatever for?
For the missing eye of Teddy Theodore
So we can dance a whirly twirl!
