I Challenge You To…

How’s your week going? I hope it’s running smoothly and you’re achieving your goals. Mine’s not gone quite according to plan so I hope you’ll forgive me if I extend last week’s challenge for another week. So, those of you who have already sent in something for the ‘Favourite Places to Visit’ challenge, feel free to pen something else and send it in. Those of you who haven’t, why not?! You can write about a country, a town, an event, a house, a castle…anything and everything goes!

  1. Hope your week recovers and all is well, Esther. Favourite places? Well, I can’t think past Newbury high street. As you know, it’s got a Wilkinsons and about a dozen burger restaurants.

    1. Thanks, Martin. Yep, good ol’ Newbury High Street – there’s nothing like it 🙂

  2. It is often said that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. However, could it not be argued that if you do actually plan to fail, whatever happens has to be an improvement?

      1. All part of my underlying philosophy – ‘blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for he shall not be disappointed’ and ‘pessimists only ever have pleasant surprises’.

  3. You may think me quite mad
    I’ll admit to it too,
The place I love to visit
    It’s very far or new.
    It isn’t very hot,
    Nor it is very cold
There’s lots to see and do
If you like stuff that’s rather old
    You may agree with me,
You may think me wrong or right,
But the place I like to visit most
Is the good old Isle of Wight.

    🙂

      1. It is my happy place. I love going there and am always sad to leave. I need to book a trip for next year so I have something to look forward to 🙂
