Writing Magazine short story competitions are a regular feature in my weekly post. They have a sister magazine, Writers’ News, which is for subscribers to Writing Magazine. They also run a separate competition. The August issue has an interesting theme – HATE. Here are some more details for you:

1st: £100 plus publication in Writing Magazine
2nd: £25 plus publication on the website
Entry fee: Free, but entry is only for subscribers of Writing Magazine
Word Count: Between 1500-1700 words
