Writing Magazine are holding a Creative Non-Fiction Competition. Here’s what they’re looking for:

‘A burgeoning genre, creative non-fiction uses all the storyteller’s tools to paint a picture of reality. Whether you choose to write an evocative article, a piece of memoir, or even a slice-of-life pen portrait, you’ll need to paint it vividly in readers’, and judges’, minds’.

Prizes:

1st: £200 plus publication in the magazine

Runner-up: £50 plus publication on the website

Entry fee: £6 non-subscribers, £4 subscribers

Word limit: Between 1500 – 1700 words

Closing date: 15th August 2018

    This is incredible for I am basically a nonfiction writer. Although I have written a couple of pieces that are fiction, overall I have been a nonfiction writer all my life.
