Glynis Smy lives in Harwich, Essex. It is a port town and the place where the Mayflower ship was built. The ship’s captain lived in the town, and Samuel Pepys was MP for Harwich, but most importantly, it is where Glynis’s latest novel, Whitefoam is based.
The book is sitting patiently awaiting publication, and in the meantime, ex-nurse Glynis writes a sequel to her novel, Maggie’s Child. This book reached #1 in the Victorian historical paid listing on Amazon in 2013, and in 2014, reached the second round of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards. In 2014, Glynis was shortlisted for the Festival of Romance Fiction New Talent Award, and her self-published books were accepted into Suffolk libraries.
