Guest Writer Spot

This week it’s my pleasure welcome new writer, Fathima Thasni to my Guest Writer Spot. Before you read her heart felt poem, here’s a little bit about her in her own words:

“I am from Kerala, the southern edge of India. I have started writing in both English as well as Malayalam, which is our regional language, in recent times. I was greatly inspired by my mother, Mrs.Shalbi. The complications of the current society influence me in writing. I am a keen being who will always love to serve people and live for a global cause. I would also love to turn my poetry into innovative words that would let people realize the zillion dilemmas they are accustomed to”.

 THE CATASTROPHE BY FATHIMA THASNI

Fabricated are the beings,

Every flash and hour is fake.

Brilliant actors executing the portrayal,

Labeled as the mere life.

Wandering around in the soot,

Stuffed with adulterated emotions,

Is a sheer soul…oh me!!

Pole to pole I tried hunting truth,

Ardent men, authentic feats.

But, soon I grasped that my quest was in vain,

While the universe itself lived in a lie.

Ignorant was this girl, forced to mock

With undertones and notions suffocating in her.

When does this pain end??

When will the melodrama meet the climax??

As I have hopes of survival of the one

Who has felt emotions by heart.

May the calamity of deceit end,

Let us cherish in integrity.
