“Open narcotics will be wasted.” (‘wasted’ printed in red and underlined)
I saw this sign that would surely make your weekly funny. Unfortunately it was on the other side of a locked glass door to the medication room of the hospital, and I could only read it backwards through the backside of the white paper it was printed on. I asked a nurse, and she said ‘wasted’ meant that the unused portion had to be immediately disposed of; witness required. Interesting word choice.
