My challenge for you last week was to fit the words: ‘Easter’, ‘bucket’ and ‘cat’ into a ten-word story. There was me thinking you’d find it difficult. “Difficult?” you all said, “nah, easy peasy!” Read the excellent stories below.
So, this week’s challenge? It’s certainly toughter. I’m still looking for ten-word stories, but this week your story needs to contain the words: ‘discombobulated’, ‘fabulous’, ‘bacon’ and ‘unicorn’. You have my fourteen-year-old daughter to thank for those words! I’m not expecting as many entries as last week 😉
My family joined in last week’s challenge, so it’s with great pleasure that I firstly bring you my cousin, Barry Robert’s entry:
Nothing says ‘Easter’ like a bucket full of chocolate cats.
This is followed by the equally brilliant entry from his wife, Karen Roberts:
My cat enjoyed a huge bucket of tuna this Easter!
Keith Channing sent in this very witty story:
Bucketing down all Easter it was, cats and bloomin’ dogs!
Geoff Le Pard sent in not one, but two stories to make you smile:
1) Forensics tested the dent; Cat kicked the bucket at Easter.
2) Each of Cat’s bucket lists always included: ‘Chocolate-free Easter’.
Jason Moody‘s stories made me laugh out loud:
1) Percy, a black cat, despised Easter. Bucket time, he thought.
2) “How many Easter eggs in the bucket? Win a cat!”
I’m so pleased Kate Loveton joined in this time, with her great story:
Shabby as a barn cat, an Easter bucket, not basket.
Charles Norman sent in an entertaining one:
Easter means a cat must sit in a bucket….true?
Maris Wilhelmsson sent in three very clever stories:
1) “My cat loves Easter.”
“Mine too!”
“Playing with buckets, right?”
2) The Easter bunny put a bucket over the cat.
“Mjaaooouuuuuu!”
3) The cat found the bunny’s Easter hideout.
Under the bucket.
Last, but by no means least, Sacha Black lowers the tone 😉 :
Easter, that weekend when cats poop in the egg bucket.
