Markets For Writers

As well as checking this week’s market out, there are plenty more to choose from on my ‘Markets For Freelancers‘ and ‘More Markets For Freelancers‘ pages.

Cricket Magazine

You could be forgiven for thinking that this is a magazine devoted to the popular sport but take a look at the website and you’ll soon see that it’s a magazine for children. In fact, The Cricket Magazine Group has expanded and includes 14 different children’s magazines covering a vast age range from 6 months – teenagers. The website has a page offering very detailed writers’ guidelines for each magazine. They also advise that you read several recent issues of the magazine you’re aiming your work at. You can’t view free samples of the whole magazine but you can see interactive online samples which will give you an idea of the type of work they’re looking for.

The magazine is US based but they’re happy to take a look at any submissions sent to them. To know more:

Website:   www.cricketmag.com

For the address, check the website and magazine you’re submitting your work to as these differ.

You can make an e-mail enquiry via the website under ‘Contact us’.
