Last week, I gave the dogs a chance, now, thanks to this little cutie, it’s back to ‘cat tired’! Though, surely not the most comfortable place to fall asleep??!!

My tip this week applies to all aspiring writers and that’s to never give up. It can be very disheartening to receive rejection letter after rejection letter or not to hear back at all – I know, I’ve been there. But I kept going, researching markets, reading others’ work, building on my punctuation and grammar

My award this week goes to a ‘cat’ quote, by an unknown author: ‘No matter what you’ve done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it’. Though, I think any cat would have a hard time making this little doggy look guilty:

No work for me! So there I was, Monday morning and ready to set to work, when Joe decided that he’d ‘help’ me by sitting on my laptop. I can’t work without my laptop. That’s a shame, isn’t it?

If you’re writing an article which is date/season/time specific, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to write your piece before the actual date/season/time. It may take you a while to research the person/event/subject and then to check all your facts. Then, having written your article, it needs to be received by the editor
