Can You Tell A Story In…

Happy Thursday and happy new month! Here’s a new story challenge:

Can you tell a story in 22 words? You must use the following words somewhere in the story:

  • ZEBRA
  • POCKET
  • LAMPSHADE
  • WORRY

Last week’s prompt was to tell a story in 15 words using the following words in it somewhere:

  • CAMERA
  • TEMPT
  • FIFTY

Here are your brilliant stories:

Lance Greenfield:

Cathy’s camera captured fifty couples attempting chaotic chorus line, resulting in catastrophic century of bodies.

Christine Mallaband-Brown:

Tempt me with chocolate now I am fifty? But why do you need a camera?

Ritu:

I might be nearly fifty but I can still tempt a camera with my look…

Treehugger:

Do be tempted by a professional camera shot. After all, you are only fifty once.

Sharon Harvey:

Fifty shades of grey? Fifty shades of yellow, my camera photo attempt of autumn colours.

Ann Edall-Robson:

The cougar crouched fifty feet from the camera tripod. Moving closer would tempt fate, life.

Sharron P:

I was so tempted to buy another camera but I realised I already had fifty…

  1. I pocketed the toy zebra and adjusted the lampshade on my way out the door. I’ll worry about buying the groceries later.

  3. The ZEBRA iPhone POCKET on the LAMPSHADE WORRied me. Would the hot charging iPhone burn it? I placed the fire extinguisher close.

  4. Wiggling into the writer’s memory pocket, the tiny zebra plucked from the lampshade meant her exotic storyline was no longer a worry.

  7. Lampshade with zebra stripes? Carpet and wallpaper to match? I couldn’t put my hand in my pocket to fund this animalistic decor.
