My review
Caroline has a way of making you care for her characters – right from the get-go. I enjoyed the way the story is told through the eyes of both protagonists – Katy and Sibeal. They are both flawed characters and have clearly had trauma in their lives. We can’t help but be swept up in their stories. But who is hiding what? There’s an undercurrent that secrets are being held all the way through the story. Who isn’t as they seem? Can we trust anyone? The questions keep coming and just when you think you know the answers, Caroline throws in a curve ball.
Caroline’s 2022 hit, The Sinner, had me on the edge of my seat and my jaw dropping at the number of twists and turns. I wondered if The Stranger Beside Me would keep up. It certainly does, with one unexpected revelation after another.
