Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend.
Your new limerick challenge is as follows:
FACE
Your challenge last week was to write a limerick using the word QUOTE in it somewhere. Here are your masterpieces:
When he sighed and said “2B”
I tried to assist his geometry
But, quoting the Bard
It was too hard
So my help was “not to be”.
Quote me, if you think it’s okay
Unless you’ve your own thing to say.
Oh, you’re quiet now,
Trying hard to, somehow,
Extend your lunch to last all day.
–
I’ll quote a verse I heard before
’bout a woman by name of Lenore
And some flipping bird
That’s plainly absurd
‘Cos all it says is “Never more!”
To quote a poet can be hard
Unless it’s from a birthday card?
I think all poets are too shy
To share words with a cry
A rhyme today from a bard…
Some people who you’ll find quoting
what clever people have wroting
Think themselves smart
But they’re just a pain in the art
And deserve to receive a good boating…
My history teacher, Miss Quote
Taught us dates and events by rote.
I dare not repeat
My memory feats
For fear of misquoting Miss Quote.
