The A – Z Of Writing Ideas – S Is For…

Here is the nineteenth instalment in my weekly writing series. Each week, I give you an idea – whether it’s a magazine to write for, a theme for a short story and/or poem, an idea for an article…Here are the first , second , third , fourth , fifth , sixth , seventh, eighth, ninth,  tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth instalments in the series.

This week, it’s the letter S’s turn. And S is for Seasons. Use the different seasons to inspire you in your writing, whether it’s for a short story, article or poem. You can take one season, or why not write about them all?

A Poem of Two Halves:

Dark Thoughts for All Seasons

Spring:  The Easter bunny, helping build the obese,

Summer: Heat waves, aiding the spread of skin cancer,

Autumn: Darker days, bringing with it depression,

Winter: Christmas costs, who says scrooge died long ago?

Happy Thoughts for All Seasons

Spring: Lambs and fresh flowers, nature reigns eternal,

Summer: Glorious sunshine, lifting all hearts,

Autumn: Crisp colours, sweet harvest smells linger,

Winter: Snowflakes and sledging, a child’s dream.
