You’ll need to get your skates on with this week’s market (closing date a week today – Wednesday 25th February), but when you hear about the prize money, you may very well want to!
The BBC National Short Story Award in partnership with Booktrust gives the first place prize winner £15,000, the runner-up £3,000 and £500 goes to three shortlisted writers so it’s certainly well worth having a go!
The maximum word limit for stories is 8000 words and only one entry per person is allowed.
There are numerous rules and regulations so do look at them carefully: http://www.booktrust.org.uk/prizes/1
Finally, a huge thank you to Nica (Sacha Black) yet again for providing this week’s market!
